- Dark blue colour scheme is hard on the eyes
Introduction:
PerfectSpeed PC Optimizer is a maintenance tool for PCs. Its purpose is to improve a computers performance and fix errors.
Ease of Use:
The dark blue user interface makes using the program hard on the eyes, but only slightly. It might be worth pushing through the discomfort of the poor colour scheme as it has a many useful tools under-the-hood.
In addition, it has a clearly defined help button in the left hand corner, and many technical support options – so if you are stuck, you have help ranging from FAQs to Email Support.
Features Explained:
-
Defragmentation – PerfectSpeed searches your systems hard drive for fragmentation errors, and rectifies any problems found. This defragging of the computer will make the system more efficient and quicker.
-
Scheduling Tasks – you can choose to perform cleanup tasks manually, or schedule them for a desired date and time.
-
Clean Registry – your computer has a database that holds all the important data about your computer. This database is called the registry. Overtime, degradation happens to your registry database – redundant entries are created that clog up your system, and slow down your PCs performance. The clean registry feature fixes all registry problems.
-
Privacy Protection – As you use the web, you leave behind trace evidence of passwords used, websites visited, etc. These traces of your personal exploits can compromise your online security, so PerfectSpeed saves you possible headaches, and removes those bits of privacy compromising information.
-
Duplicate File Reduction – most people don’t need multiple copies of the same file – but we all tend to accidently create 2 copies of a 1GB movie from time to time, this feature will help track down all duplicates so you can make intelligent decisions about duplicate files, and thus improve disk space.
-
Performance Tweaks – In PerfectSpeed PC Optimizer, you can disable or enable certain settings to improve system speed.
Conclusion:
I found PerfectSpeed PC Optimizer improved PC performance when it was tested. However, it has one standout negative, and that is its user interface – its colour scheme is not user-friendly. I would not use it, better PC Tuneup tools exist.
