Empty Recycle Bin to free up space
When a file is deleted it is generally not removed from the computer immediately but however sent to the recycle bin. The recycle bin does not slow down your computer – but having a full hard-drive or approximately less than 10% free space does. So if your hard-disk is getting too full I recommend you empty your recycle bin to free up space. Files deleted from the recycle bin are generally gone for good – so if you have any important files in there I suggest backing them up or removing them from the recycle bin.
How to delete files in the recycle bin
- Find “Recycle Bin” located on your desktop
- Right-click it and select “Empty Recycle Bin”
