Ease of Use:

The Norton 360 has had an appearance makeover with its sexy new interface, at first glance I thought it would be hard to use but surprisingly it was a quite an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI).
On the main screen it lists your status for the 4 core components:
- PC Security (Antimalware, etc)
- Identity Protection (If it’s safe to perform online banking)
- Backup (If you important files are backed up)
- PC Tuneup (If your system is optimized for best performance)
Up the top is a menu where you can gain access to other important areas such as Tasks, Settings, My Account and Help and Support. On the bottom menu of the window you can run a LiveUpdate, Scan your computer and Get Support.
Features Explained:
Norton 360 4.0 provides the following features:
- AntiVirus
- AntiSpyware
- Smart Firewall
- Norton Insight
- Norton Safe Web
- Bot Protection
- Network Monitoring
- Rootkit Protection
- Startup Manager
- Backup and Restore
- PC Tuneup
- Browser Protection
- SONAR™ Behavioral Protection
- AntiPhishing
- Parental Controls
- Pulse Updates
- Backup files online
- WiFi Protection
- 2GB free online storage for backing up files
- … And I possibly forgot something… you probably would too with a program that has so much.
Norton 360 has less of a memory footprint on your computer than years past, in other words this version does not grind your computer to halt like versions in the past. It actually ran on the test machine without negatively affecting the performance, no slowing of the computer was noticed. This is a marked improvement for Norton as one of their user’s biggest complaints was its performance impact and well they seem to have solved it.
